"Cap au sud" have just completed the recording, mixing and mastering of the new album "CUMBANCHA" at STUDIO MUSICBOX. During the recording several guests including Jesus Poleo [adoped son of Orlando] and Jipe Aboley have made their contribution along with the horn section. The album is comprised of 9 tracks which the majority are written by the group members, the other tracks are standards rearranged by the group such as EL MANICERO,CARAVAN and the well known [ LA VIE EN ROSE ] Their have been many influnces along the way in making the album such as The fania All Stars, Yuri Buenaventura, Ray Baretto,and Gonzalo Rubacaba to name a few. cap au sud have put their own stamp on what is a blend of exciting Latin jazz and salsa crossed with blues, guajira and timba. Something FOR EVERYBODY, i think so.
